Getting Started
We work best when we are working with you.
Starting with a comprehensive set of information is the best way to ensure we are all operating on the same page: the more information we have, the more helpful we can be. Often times there are pieces of information tucked away in the most unanticipated of places, information that to some may seem inconsequential, but to us at Redwood could be the difference between one school and another.
When we begin working with a family, it is vital for us to have all relevant paperwork regarding your child. These materials can include:
Psychological, Psycho-Educational, Neuro-psychological, and/or any other testing
Standardized testing
Academic records such as school report cards, transcripts, and teachers’ notes
IEP/504 accommodation plans
Relevant mental health reports
Hospital records or discharge summaries
Please arrange to either bring copies of these materials with you to your first appointment, or you can also send copies of these materials prior to your first visit.
As part of our onboarding process, we will ask you to complete our paperwork which will be sent to you via DocuSign. This will include things such as our contract, releases, and a professional reference form.
We also ask you to complete the Common Application so that we at Redwood can eventually send it on your behalf to any appropriate schools or programs.
We are here to help.
